Why Aster?

Aster è il nome latino del genere botanico Aster, un omaggio alla mia passione per la Botanica. Ma Aster è anche il nome inglese di ogni astro del cielo. Quindi Aster in qualche modo ci ricorda sia la Terra che il Cielo. E fra la Terra e il Cielo troviamo il prezioso spazio della Natura dove viviamo come genere umano, insieme a piante, animali e a una grande quantità di altri esseri viventi. Dalla Natura provengono il nostro cibo quotidiano, l’aria che respiriamo, l’acqua che beviamo, i raggi del sole, le nuvole e tutte le stelle della notte. In questo Asterbook metterò le mie foto e i miei… appunti di Natura. Benvenuti ad Asterbook!

"Aster" is the Latin name for the genus Aster, a homage to my passion for Botany. It is also the English name for all the stars we see in the sky. So "Aster" somehow evokes both Earth and Sky, between which lies this precious space called Nature - where we live alongside plants, animals and a multitude of other living creatures. Nature gives us our daily food, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the sun’s rays, the clouds and all the night stars. In this Asterbook I will put my photos and my…Nature notes.
